I have done my Master Degree in Environmental Science in 2007 and PhD in 2013 during which I have worked on ecological study of marine macrofauna. They are important for fishermen as food, and also bioindicators in coastal ecosystem. Since 2014 I have been working in the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) on benthos related studies, mangroves and saltmarshes. I am also involved in assessing the climate change impact on coastal ecosystems and its mitigation aspects. I have interests in monitoring Ecologically Sensitive Areas (ESAs) and Critically Vulnerable Coastal Areas (CVCAs). Currenly, I am involved in a database entiled Coastal and Marine Biodiversity and Integration Network (CoMBINe) of NCSCM, India
