Kalpana Settu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Taipei University, Taiwan. She received a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, India in 2005, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan in 2012. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan in 2016. After her PhD study, she continued as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the same laboratory before becoming an Assistant Professor. Her research work focuses on the development of biosensors for industrial and medical applications. Her research work has been published in reputed international journals. Adding to her keen observation and perseverance towards her research, she has presented several papers in international conferences. Due to her academic achievement, she was awarded the NCU Scholarship for Excellent Students from National Central University, Taiwan in 2015. Also, she won the first prize in the 2016 PhD Dissertation Contest of the Taiwanese Association for Consumer Electronics Society.
