Biography :

Hiroshi Shimoda was graduated from Oita Medical University, Japan in 1988 and obtained a medical doctor’s license. He also passed through postgraduate doctor course of Pathology, Oita Medical University and received the Ph.D. degree in 1992. He was engaged in clinical medicine as a gastrointestinal surgeon from 1992 to 1995 and served as an assistant professor and/or lecturer in Department of Anatomy, Oita Medical University (the present Oita University, Faculty of medicine) until 2010. He was an exchange visitor by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan in Lymphology Laboratory, Department of Surgery, The University of Arizona from 2002 to 2003. He was thereafter a professor in Department of Health Sciences, Oita University of Nursing and Health Sciences, Japan from 2010 to 2012. He is then appointed a professor in Department of Anatomical Science, Hriosaki University Graduate School of Medicine from 2012 to the present.
