Dr Abayomi Joseph Afe is a public health physician with expertise in epidemiology of Infectious diseases and non-communicable disease including reproductive health . He attended University of Benin, Nigeria where he graduated as a medical doctor(MB,BS) followed by master’s degree in public health(M.P.H) from Olabisi Onabanjo Univrsity,Nigeria and a doctoral (Ph.d) degree in public health from Central University Nicaragua,Nicaragua. I am an associate member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists(RCOG), member association of Public Health Physician of Nigeria, American Society of tropical medicine and the British Project Professional Society (BPP). I am a passionate researcher with keen interests in clinical and operational researches .He has several publications to his credit, and sits on the editorial boards of a few peer-reviewed journals. He is a principal investigator on a few operational research grants. He was a member of the Nigerian national PMTCT Task Team of Federal Ministry of health and has contributed to formulation of many guidelines and job aids on HIV and TB in Nigeria.

He presently works as the head of community medicine department of Equitable Health Access Initiative (EHAI), a non-governmental organization sub-recipient to Institute of Human Virology Nigeria(IHVN) on the USG funded PEPFAR ACTIONPLUS –Up project.
