Biography :

Hiroaki Satoh, M.D., Ph.D. is Associate Professor of the Department of Nephrology, Hypertension, Diabetology, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at Fukushima Medical University. Dr. Satoh received his M.D. from Akita University and his Ph.D. from University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine. Before coming to Fukushima Medical university, he was a resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Tokyo hospital, a graduate student at University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine, a research fellow in Jerrold M Olefsky's lab at University of California, San Diego. Dr. Satoh has been on the Fukushima Medical University faculty since 2004. His research focuses is to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms of insulin resistance.
