1) Dr. Anil Kumar is the founder member of the School of Biotechnology in Devi Ahilya University. The department was founded in 1991 and within few years, it had its own new building (about 20000 sq.ft.). Under Anil Kumar’s supervision and guidance, the School of Biotechnology gained National as well as International acclaim in no time. 2) Dr. Anil Kumar is the senior most Professor of Biotechnology in the entire MP. 3) Dr. Anil Kumar is the officer In-charge of Bioinformatics Sub Center sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. 4) Dr. Anil Kumar has published number of research papers in various reputed National and international journals. 5) Dr. Anil Kumar and his team developed various low cost technologies. 6) Various times, he has served as an expert member in the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi for the selection of candidates for Japan, Russia, Australia, Germany, Commonwealth, etc. 7) He has served as an expert (Governor’s/Chancellor’s nominee) in the selection of teachers (Professors, Readers, Lecturers) in number of universities. 8) Dr. Anil Kumar is the member of Advisory board for the book ‘Dictionary of Biotechnology’ authored by Somani. 9) Dr. Anil Kumar is the Chairperson of Board of Studies of Biotechnology, Devi Ahilya University, Indore. 10) Dr. Anil Kumar has been an external member on the Board of Studies in Biotechnology at Amravati University, Amravati.
