• Dr. Özlem KIZILIRMAK ESMER was born in İstanbul. She took her basic education from Ege University, Engineering Faculty, Food Engineering Department. She performed her Master of Science and Ph.D. degree at Food Packaging subdivision of Ege University, Engineering Faculty, Food Engineering Department. She went to Department of Food Science, Universita degli Studi di Foggia, Italy on July, 2008 as Visiting Lecturer and Researcher. She is working as Assistant Professor and head of Food Packaging subdivision since 2009.

Her research areas are modified atmosphere packaging technology, innovative food packaging technologies, food and packaging interactions. She is also working as a scientific member of Turkish Food Codex -Commission of Materials and Articles in Contact with Food. She made organization committee member of several international and national congresses. She is a member of Chamber of Food Engineers.
