Biography :

She obtained a pharmacist degree in 2002 in Turkey and completed her MSc thesis in 2005 and PhD thesis in 2011 at Gazi University Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacognosy. She achieved associate proffesor degree in Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Botany field in 2013. She was a research & teaching assistant between 2002-2013 and still working at Gazi University as an associate proffesor. She is a lecturer in Gazi University Faculty of Pharmacy Graduate Program, Gazi University Institute of Health Sciences Phytotheraphy Master of Science Program and Pharmacognosy Master of Science & Doctor of Phylosophy Programs. Her major research interests have focused on in-vivo and in-vitro biological activities of natural products and traditional medicinal plants of Turkey. She is also experienced in qualitative and quantitative analysis of food and plant extracts and application of pharmacopoeia methods. She had The Turkish Pharmacists’ Association Academy of Pharmacy Encouragement Award in 2015. She completed 7 research projects, published 31 manuscript in science citation index (SCI) and SCI-expended journals and 9 articles in other journals. She wrote 5 book chapters, joined 20 international/national meetings and presented 1 invited lecture, 8 oral presentations and 30 posters. She is a member of Phytochemical Society of Europe, Society of Medicinal Plant Research, Society of Pharmacognosy and Phytotherapy, Turkish Pharmacists’ Association. She has been Associate Editor of FABAD Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (2013-2016) and still editorial board member of SM Journal of Urology and African Journal of Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicines. She is also a reviewer in 10 international/national journals.

Research Interest :

Current research interests includes; - antidiabetic, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, anti-urolithiatic, anticonvulsant activities of traditional medicinal plants and local fruits and vegetables, - natural bioactive compunds, - chromatography
