Biography :

Ssang-Goo Cho received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Genetic Engineering from Korea University, Republic of Korea. He was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship at Ruttenberg Cancer Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA and worked at Korea University as a research professor and at Institut Pasteur as a visiting scientist. Now, he has been serving as a professor at the department of Stem Cell & Regenerative Biotechnology, Konkuk University and also as a director of Incurable disease animal model and stem cell institute (IDASI). His areas of expertise include signaling pathways in stem, cancer, and cancer stem cells, molecular mechanism of cellular reprogramming, and apoptosis or autophagy, pancreatic beta-cell differentiation. He has published more than 130 papers in scientific journals.
