My current research falls into 5 related programs. 1) Physiology role of carbon monoxide (CO) and its mechanism; 2) studying ion channels and receptors in the mitochondria; 3) other functions of ion channels; 4) pulmonary hypertension and stenosis; 5) Immune cell engineering toward cell therapies. Some directions are the extension of my previous work but most of works are closely around ion channel study and cardiovascular diseases.
