Degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1996), a master's degree in Pharmacology from the University of São Paulo (2001) and a doctorate in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Vale do Paraíba with a period from the University of Bergen, Norway (2006). Currently a professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and a researcher / advisor in the strictu sensu graduate programs in Biotechnology and Translational Medicine at Unifesp. Experience in the area of Inflammation and Lung Immunology, with emphasis in bronchial reactivity, leukocyte-endothelial interaction, cellular signaling and action mechanism. The interest area in research is asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, intestinal ischemia and reperfusion, sepses, and anti-inflammatory therapies.
