Dr. Arif Ahmad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (A Central University), Hyderabad, Telangana. Dr. Ahmad graduated and post-graduated from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He has received his Ph.D. degree from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in the year 2008. His area of research interest is cancer biology. He has received Post-doctoral Young Scientist Fellowship from SERB-DST, New Delhi. He also qualified CSIR/UCG-NET and received CSIR, Junior Research Fellowship during his Ph.D. He has a research experience of about 14 years and teaching experience of about 8 years.

He has contributed in the review article in European Journal of Experimental Biology and a book chapter in the book published by Oxford: Academic Press, Elsevier. He has also submitted partial DNA sequences of SRY, FHIT, Cytochrome b and COI genes at NCBI. He successfully completed two research projects funded by SERB-DST and UCG New Delhi. Dr. Ahmad is also departmental coordinator for Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Directorate of Distance Education, MANUU. He is life member of “The Indian Science Congress Association” Kolkata, India.
