I was invited by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan to establish a research center for the control and ultimate eradication of key viral diseases in Pakistan. Overall responsibility included capacity building, securing funds form national and international sources (over 5 million US $), development of curricula for PG and UG programs, management of PG programs/students and staff (300), establishment of 18 labs including a diagnostic facility.
