Biography :

During my undergraduate study, I have worked on endophytic fungi from mangrove and bioprospecting of enzymes. I learned how to work with fungal culture on various artificial media (such as potato dextrose agar) with diverse filamentous fungi, including Thrichoderma, Penicillium, Trichophyton and Paecilomyces. I also learned how to extract enzymes such as amylase, cellulase and pectinase. Also, I was a volunteer trainee working for producing the innoculants that are antagonistic to pathogenic fungi. During this period, I have tested various pathogenic fungi as biocontrol agents of Rhizoctonia solani on potato (Alfredo et al., 2009). During the year 2010-2013, I was a master’s student. My master and PhD’s studies were supported by the Program of Systematic and Evolution at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte/UFRN, Brazil. Before starting fieldwork and morphological and molecular analyses, I have attended the classes and seminar series such as phylogenetics, systematics, evolution, population genetics, phylogeography, fundamentals of taxonomy for zoology and botany, and mycological sciences.
