Biography :

Satish K Verma is serving as Assistant Professor, in Department of Botany, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He received his Ph.D. in Botany (Fungal Endophytes) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He has also served as Assistant Professor in Department of Botany, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, India for around three years. He has visited Department of Plant Biology, Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA as Raman Fellow for a year. He has published 25 research papers in scientific journals including Microbial Ecology, Symbiosis, Annals of Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Microbiology, Current Science etc. He has also published 6 book chapters. His broad areas of research include plant microbiomes, endophytes diversity, and ecology, their role in plant development and disease protection. He is also working on role of seed associated microbes on biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in plants.
