Dr. Yilmaz is research geneticist at WuXi NextCODE. Before joining WuXiNextCODE, she was a postdoctoral scientist at the Neurosurgery and Genetics Departments of Yale University. With over a decade of research experience in genomic research with both biology and bioinformatics skills, Dr. Yilmaz contributed significant discoveries in the genetics of skeletal dysplasia, brain cancer, and aneurysm risks. She also has prior postdoctoral experience from King’s College London, UK where she conducted research on gene expression profiling in patients at risk for brain aneurysm. Her PhD work at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire De Nancy, France, was focused on the genetics of Aicardi Syndrome, a rare neurological disease.
