Adnan Ćatović is a specialist and primarius in Prosthodontics. He is full Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics and Geriatric Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, University of Zagreb and Head of Polyclinic Dental Clinic University Hospital Centre in Zagreb, Croatia. He is a regular member of the Croatian Academy of Medical Sciences, graduated from the School of Dental Medicine in Zagreb 1977. He was research assistant at the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry in Zagreb, university lecturer and research associate in 1987. He was elected for Associate Professor and senior research associate in 1995. and Full Professor and Scientific Advisor in 1999. From 1999. to 2001. he was Head of the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Zagreb. He was Head of the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics, School of Medicine, Study of Dental Medicine,University of Rijeka from 2001 to 2003. Now he is the Head of the Geriatric Dentistry at the School of Dental Medicine University of Zagreb and Head of the Polyclinic of Dental Clinic University Hospital Center Zagreb. He was a lecturer at numerous scientific and professional conferences and has published over 150 scientific papers .He was a leader and principal investigator of the scientific project "Teeth, materials and prosthetics appliances in adolescent and geriatric population”. Her Core General Surgery training was completed in Coventry and Warwickshire where she gained a Diploma in Surgical Science and MRCS (UK). She has worked as Urology registrar at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals, London and is currently based at The Royal Free Hospital and UCL and has just been appointed to East of England Deanery. She had over 220 first author Medline indexed publications and has just submitted her first two books to Springer Nature. Yue Zhang received his PhD degree from University of Fribourg, Switzerland in 2006; he and his colleague reported deficiency of TOR kinase doubles life span in C. elegans in Nature. He did his post-doc in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and established DAF-12/Vitamin D receptor as development capacitor in C. elegans. Since 2008, first as research fellow, then promoted as instructor, he pursued cancer and Huntington's diseases research at Department of Radiation Oncology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston. In 2011, he started as senior scientist in Osteoarthritis (OA) Unit, University of Montreal Hospital Research Centre under directors professor Johanne Martel-Pelletier and professor Mohit Kapoor. His studies on the role of cartilage homeostasis mediator mTOR and autophagy pathway with patient specimens and model organisms led to novel strategy for OA prevention. There he worked as cartilage scientist in arthritis research center, Toronto Western Hospital, UHN. Now he works as full professor in The first Clinical college of Harbin Medical University, China.

Recent work includes the identification of OA biomarkers in cartilage and investigation of interrelationships among obesity, OA and autophagy. Current interests include studies on roles of Vitamin D receptor as health capacitor in autoimmune diseases such as rheumatic arthritis and associated cancers. Other interests include stem cell research and therapy, drug delivery and chemical modifications, policy of safety and security in healthcare facilities, and so on. Dijana Zadravec, MD, PHD, is an assistant professor of general and dental radiology (since 2013) and head of General and dental radiology department at the University of Zagreb, School of Dental medicine (since 2015). She is head of Clinical department for diagnostic and interventional radiology and Clinical unit for neuroradiology, head, neck and dental radiology at the University Hospital Center Sisters of Mercy. She is also head of Referal center for radiologic prevention, diagnostics, therapy and rehabilitation of head and neck diseases of the Ministry of health, Republic of Croatia, at the University Hospital Center Sisters of Mercy in Zagreb. Assistant professor Zadravec is also currently employed as Deputy Director of University Hospital Center Sisters of mercy. She has worked in medical education for the last 9 years. She is Chairman of the Department of General and dental radiology at School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb, head of postgraduate doctoral study (theme Digital radiologic diagnostic of head and neck tumors) and head of postgraduate specialist study (theme Radiologic digital imaging methods of head and neck). Dijana Zadravec was born in Čakovec on September 5th, 1973, and is Croatian by nationality. She graduated from math-natural science highschool „Josip Slavenski“ in 1992 in Čakovec. She enrolled the School of Medicine at Zagreb University in 1992, from which she graduated in 1998. She worked as a general practitioner (1999-2000) and in an emergency department (2000-2003). She specialised in radiology (2003-2007) and subspecialised in neuroradiology (2009-2011). Doctoral degree in Biomedicine and health was obtained at the Zagreb School of Medicine in 2010, the thesis being titled „Comparative analysis multislice computed tomography and magnetic resonance of malignant tumors of the maxillofacial region“. She took postgraduate trainings in dental radiology at the Department of Oral Radiology at Helsinki University Center Hospital in Finland (2011), a course in Magnetic resonance imaging of Head and neck in Belgium (2014), and attended the Pierre Lasjaunias European course of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology, 13th Cycle, organized by ESNR (European Society of Neuroradiology) and therefore has a European Diploma in Neuroradiology (2016).

Her scientific interest is neuroradiology, dental radiology and head and neck radiology, especially head and neck oncology and temporomandibular joint disorders. She is an author of university textbooks Dental Radiology (2016), Neuroimunology (2015) and Professional diseases and diseases connected to dentists (2015), Melanoma (2015) and Abdominal ultrasound (2015). She had published more than 30 articles in internationally indexed journals ans she is also deputy editor of journal of Acta clinica Croatica. She lectured and moderated at many domestic and international meetings and congresses, where she had given more than 60 presentations in Croatian and English. She is a member of ESNR (European Society of Neuroradiology), ESHNR (European Society of Head and Neck Radiology), CSR (Croatian Society of Radiology) and member of Neuroradiology Section of CSR.

I was born on the 3rd of October 1954 in Zagreb where I finished elementary school and high school (Classical Gymnasium). In the year 1973 I enrolled in the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb where I graduated in the year 1978. I have completed my internship in Sisters of Charity University Hospital (then called M. Stojanovic Hospital). After I passed the state exam I started working at the Department of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine as a physician. In the year 1984 I started my residency in radiotherapy, and passed the residency exam in the year 1987. Since then I have been working in the Departement of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine of the Sisters of Charity University Hospital in Zagreb. At first I participated in intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy procedures. In the later years, I introduced ambulatory systemic anticancer treatment and, subsequently, daily hospital unit. In 2005 I was elected for the Head of the Departement of Oncology, and since 2016 I am the Head of the Department of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine of the Sisters of Charity University Hospital. I defended my master's thesis „ Thyroid hormones and tyrotropin in breast cancer patients“ (mentor: prof. Z. Kusic, MD) in the year 1991, and my doctoral thesis „ The influence of postoperative treatment on the immune system of breast cancer patients“ (mentor: prof. J. Lukac, MD) in the year 1996. I participate in graduate and postgraduate studies in the School of Dental Medicine and School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, in the oncology field. In the year 1991 I was elected for an assistant professor at the Chair of oncology, School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb. In the year 2004 I was for the first time elected as a full professor of oncology and reelected in the year 2012. From 2012 I was elected for the Head of the Chair of Oncology, School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb. From 1993 I am an authorized examiner of Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb students. I am the mentor of over 60 MSc theses written in the Departement of Oncology, Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb. I was the Principal Investigator of many scientific studies. I participated in many domestic and foreign conferences, meetings and seminars and published over 100 publications in the oncology field. From 1988 to 1992 I was the secretary of Radiotherapy section of the Croatian Medical Association. I am the member of board of directors of the Croatian Association of Clinical pharmacology. I am the member of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), Departement of Medical Scinces of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Art and the member of the Committee on genomics and proteomics in oncology, also at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Art.

New molecular imaging with radiopharmaceuticals are providing a powerful tool for specially characterizing and targeting the biological properties and genetics of several diseases, as well as vastly improving the ability to monitor each patient’s response to treatment, thereby establishing its critical importance in the theranostic (therapeutic and diagnostic) field. As an Assistant Professor and Leader of the Radiopharmaceutical production and Cyclotron operation programs at Wake Forest School of Medicine, Dr. Sai’s research focusses significantly on developing multiple novel PET-based radiopharmaceuticals, both for pre-clinical and clinical evaluations to address critical parameters of disease pathology including cancer, cardiovascular diseases and neurological disorders. He has successfully demonstrated that these radiopharmaceuticals can provide significant information for clinicians which aids in their understanding of the disease and helps them to decide on the best course of treatment for each individual patient, thus contributing towards “personalized medicine”.

Currently several PET-based pharmaceuticals are being used in the development of clinical trials to find therapy for many types of cancer and cardiovascular disease and thus improve the U.S. health sphere. Historically, many experimental treatments failed to reach the clinical stage due to poor standards of tracer quality and production that did not meet FDA standards. In other words, we have lacked the tools to be able to evaluate on the molecular and cellular level how effective these new treatments are on individual patients. Dr. Sai is one of the few research scientists in U.S. with a PhD level nuclear and radiochemistry background who can perform both the crucial parameters of PET based radiopharmaceutical research, i.e., perform preclinical evaluation of novel radiopharmaceuticals, and then translate these into clinical pipeline under GMP guidelines of FDA protocol. Dr. Sai has successfully translated several PET-based radiopharmaceuticals for clinical evaluations.

In 2013 He obtained a PhD of three years in Clinical Applications of Cardiovascular Imaging at the University of Messina (Italy). Since 2014 He has worked as a reviewer of “European Radiology”. Since 2009 He has been member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR). Taking part in several national and international scientific meetings as organizer, moderator or presenter. He is author or coauthor of several scientific articles.

Kenji Suzuki, Ph.D. (by Published Work; Nagoya University) worked at Hitachi Medical Corporation, Japan, Aichi Prefectural University, Japan, as a faculty member, and in Department of Radiology, University of Chicago, as Assistant Professor. In 2014, he joined Department of Electric and Computer Engineering and Medical Imaging Research Center, Illinois Institute of Technology, as Associate Professor. In 2017, he was jointly appointed in World Research Hub Initiative at Tokyo Institute of Technology as Professor. He published more than 320 papers (including 110 peer-reviewed journal papers). His papers were cited more than 8,000 times by other researchers. He has an h-index of 40. He is inventor on 30 patents (including 13 granted patents), which were licensed to several companies and commercialized. He published 10 books and 22 book chapters, and edited 13 journal special issues. He was awarded/co-awarded more than 25 grants as PI including NIH R01 and ACS. Timmerie, certified in radiography, radiation therapy and medical dosimetry, serves as the Director of Clinical Education for the Department of Radiation Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has serves on a number of University committees, including the PhD Program in Health Related Sciences. She received her doctorate in Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Health Policy in 2013. As a student, Timmerie participated in an exchange program, perhaps sparking an interest in radiation sciences across the globe. She has traveled and consulted at the University of the West Indies and more recently, presented her research at the ISRRT World Congress in Helsinki, Finland and Seoul, South Korea. She is a member of the ISRRT and serves as a Public Relations volunteer.

Melanie received her training in radiography and radiation therapy at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She worked as a radiation therapist, medical dosimetrist and manager for more than 25 years before joining the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006 as the radiation therapy program director. Dr Ho Gwo Fuang is an Associate Professor and clinical oncologist/radiotherapist at University Malaya Medical Centre and University Malaya Specialist Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was trained at Barts and The London National Health Service (NHS) Trust and The Royal Marsden NHS Trust in London. He attained his Certificate for Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 2007 and joined the Faculty of Medicine at University Malaya. He was the recipient of the Joint Commission International (JCI) Outstanding Young Malaysian Award in 2009 for medical innovation. He is the oncology lead for Centre For Image Guided & Minimally Therapy (CIGMIT) stereotactic radiosurgery project at the University, as well as sub-investigators for University Malaya’s High Impact Research (HIR) Grant projects.

His research interests involve breast, gastrointestinal and gynaecological cancers. He is involved in many national and international collaborative research work.
