Zarrin Basharat graduated in bioinformatics from International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2011. Later, she enrolled in Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi to pursue a Ph.D. with project at the intersection of microbiology, biotechnology and bioinformatics. Since then, she has been trying to apply statistical and computational methods to obtain new insights and propose solutions to health and environmental related problems. She has worked in collaboration with several national and international scientists outside her lab. In addition to research work, she is currently running BioinForge ßωß (bioinformatics without borders) project to flourish knowledge sharing and bridging gaps in bioinformatics.
