I completed MBBS from Govt. Tirunelveli Medical College, Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu, India in 1991 and MD(Microbiology) from the same College in 1996. I was appointed as a Tutor in Microbiology in 1997 got promoted as Assistant Professor in 1998, as an Associate Professor in 2002 and then as Professor in 2006 and I continue to be as Professor till now in Tirunelveli Medical College. I have been appointed as an Examiner for MD(Micro) by The Tamilnadu State Dr.MGR Medical University, Kerala State University for 7 years. I have also been appointed as an Examiner for MBBS by The Tamilnadu State Dr.MGR Medical University, Kerala State University, Pondicherry State University, Manipal University & Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences for 16years. I have been working as a Consultant in corporate hospital having enough clinical experience since 2003 and I have also undergone NABL / ISO training at Bangalore. I have worked in molecular laboratory since 2010. I was a member in Institutional ethical committee for some years. I have been a Guide in ICMR projects/ MD thesis and published 15 papers in indexed National & International journals.
