Dr Vijaya Marakala currently working as Assistant professor at International Medical School, Management and Science University, Malaysia since 2014. He completed his MBBS on 1998 in one of the prestigious medical college of India, JJM Medical College, Davangere, Karnataka. He worked as medical officer in the health and family welfare department Karnataka, India for 6 years. He got Doctor of Medicine (MD)in Biochemistry form one of the leading medical college, Father Muller Medical college Mangalore, Karnataka, India on 2011. Worked as Assistant professor in Srinivas Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre, Mangalore India for more than 2 years before moving to Malaysia. He has experience of teaching Biochemistry to medical graduates and postgraduate students for more than 7 years and published several papers on various international journals. He intend to pursue a practice in Medical Biochemistry with Special Interests in Genetics and cancer research.
