Biography :

Dr. Panmanas Sirisomboon is a Senior Lecturer in the Agricultural Engineering Program of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand. She obtained B. Eng. in Agricultural Engineering (1980) from Kasetsart University, Thailand, M. Eng. In Agricultural Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (1984) and Pd. D. in Agricultural Engineering from Saga University, Japan (2001).She attended several training courses in Past pyrolysis, advanced chemo-metrics for NIRS, Data analysis, near infrared spectroscopy, product quality control, computer based manufacturing of tools and spare parts. Dr. Sirisomboon worked as a Lecturer (1980-1988), Assistant Professor (1988-1996) and Associate Professor (1996-present) in Agricultural Engineering Department of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, Thailand.Dr. Sirisomboon is a member of the National Metal and Material Technology Center in Thailand, a life member of the Thai Society of Agricultural engineering and a life member of Thai-Japan Technology Promotion Association. She received several award and was mentioned in Who’s Who in Who in the world and in Asia. Dr. Sirisomboon published 8 books, 36 journal papers and made 74 conference presentation2d

Research Interest :

Dr. Sirisomboon specializes in the areas ofProcessing of Agricultural Products (including engineering properties of Materials, physical properties of agricultural foods, material handling, agricultural products processing technology) and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy of Agricultural Products(including food texture and maturity, determination of commercial quality parameters of food products, determination of sweetness and lycopene content in fruits, determination of molds andmycotoxins in agricultural products, evaluation of salt and histamine in fish)
