Erika Nascimento bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences -Medical Modality from the Centro Universitário Barão de Mauá (2001), a Master's Degree in Biosciences Applied to Pharmacy by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto- USP (2005) and a PhD in Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto- USP (2010). She completed postdoctoral degree at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto -USP in the Department of Medical Clinic, in the area of Infectious Diseases. Currently holds a postdoctoral degree in the area of Medical Mycology at FMRP-USP. It performs studies on pathogenesis, virulence factors, antifungal susceptibility methods, molecular typing and molecular diagnosis of fungi causing systemic and opportunistic mycoses such as Cryptococcus spp, Paracoccidioides spp, Aspergillus spp and Candida spp.
