Dr. Nesreen S. Mahmoud is an associate professor in the Agricultural Engineering Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, Egypt. She teaches courses in the area of Environmental Engineering, Biological System Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Waste Management and Heat and Mass Transfer. Dr. Mahmoud obtained her B Sc and M Sc from Cairo University in Egypt and Ph D from Dalhousie University in Canada. She has received several national and international awards and honors. Dr. Mahmoud is a member of several technical and professional societies/organizations and has served as a consultant on a short term assignments for American and Canadian organizations. Sh has published 28 papers in several international journals and made numerous presentation at international conferences

Dr Mahmoud’s research interests are in bioprocess engineering, bioproduct development and characterization, process modeling and optimization, submerged and solid-state fermentations, industrial and environmental biotechnology, bioremediation and phytoremediation, statistical experimental design and analysis, development and validation of analytical and bioanalytical assays.
