Prof. Maurizio Evangelista is Director of the Pain Therapy Unit and of the Headache Center of SISC. He is Professor of Pain Therapy at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, is Adjunct Professor of Pain Therapy at the University of Cagliari and Visiting Professor of Pain Therapy at the University of Rome Campus Biomedico . He has been a member of the National Commission for Pain Therapy and Palliative Care of the Ministry of Health, Expert in Pain Therapy of the Superior Council of Health and Member of the Ethics Committee of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità. From 2002 to date he is a member of the official delegation of the Holy See at the World Assembly of the World Health Organization. He is editor in chief and founder of the "Journal of clinical trials and research" and is a member of the Editorial Board of international journals surveyed on Scopus, Pubmed, Google Scholar. He is the national secretary of the Italian chapter (AISD) of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). He has won three scientific awards on the subject of chronic pain therapy and locoregional anesthesia.
