Biography :

Dr. Deborah Lockwood completed medical school training at Oxford University, England in 1987. She then completed the remainder of her training in a number of prestigious institutions in the United Kingdom, culminating in dual higher specialist training certification in internal medicine and cardiology in 2000. She then completed an additional 2 year EP fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, before joining the faculty at the University of Oklahoma, Cardiovascular Division in the OU Heart Rhythm Institute. Throughout her training and practice she has been fortunate enough to work alongside a number of internationally renowned pioneers in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, notably including Professors John Camm, Mike Gammage, Jeremy Ruskin, Vivek Reddy, Benjamin Scherlag, Ralph Lazzara and Warren "Sonny" Jackman. This has allowed her to become an expert in complex catheter ablation of a wide variety of arrhythmias as well as affording her the opportunity to perform detailed research into the mechanisms and treatment of atrial fibrillation, AV nodal reentrant tachycardia and inappropriate sinus tachycardia.
