Biography :

I am a Lebanese Medical Oncologist currently working in Breast-Gynecological Oncology and Neuro-Oncology Departments at Erasme University Hospital, Brussels, Belgium. I am also engaged in the Clinical Trial Conduct Unit (CTCU) at Jules Bordet Institute in Brussels. I received my Diploma in Internal Medicine and Hematology-Oncology from Saint Georges Hospital University Medical Center- University of Balamand, Beirut, Lebanon in June 2014 and June 2017 respectively. This is my second year in Belgium. My first year was at Jules Bordet Institute where I had rotations and oncology consultations in the following fields: breast cancer, gynecological malignancies, melanoma, head and neck cancers, sarcoma and other rare tumors, genito-urinary, gastro-intestinal and thoracic malignancies. I also attended many academic activities at Jules Bordet Institute, as well as many debates and scientific meetings in Belgium, Europe and USA. I was able to publish many case reports, communications, editorial letters, review and opinion articles in many peer-reviewed journals, as well as many poster presentations, view the high level of exposure I had at Jules Bordet Institute. In September 2017, I got the chance to attend for the second time the meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO) in collaboration with MD Anderson at Houston-Texas, where I was designed an ambassador for Belgium in the Society of Hematologic Oncology, and a member in the SOHO Ambassadorship program. Furthermore, I am an active editorial board member in many peer review journals and the editor-in-chief of the Acta Scientific Cancer Biology Journal (ASCB). I am also a reviewer in the Journal of Clinical Oncology in addition to other peer review, open access journals.

Research Interest :

Gynecological Malignancies; Breast Cancer; Neuro-Oncology; Supportive care mainly women health/quality of life during/after anti-neoplastic treatments.
