Dr. Sethu Thakachy Subha is an Ent Consultant, currently attached to ENT Unit Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, University Putra Malaysia Serdang, Selangor, 43400, Malaysia. Prior to this appointment she was a lecturer at the ENT Department of University Malaya Medical Centre .Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She obtained her MBBS Degree from Kerala University, India in 1989.She received her Post graduate degree MS ORL Head and neck Surgery at University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and was awarded the best outgoing student in 2002.She has received excellent service award in 2005 and 2007 .She has published articles in local and international peer reviewed journals with main interest in head and neck oncology. Her main research interest areas are head and neck oncology, molecular biomarkers etc. She actively supervises undergraduates , postgraduates and PhD students. She has presented in various scientific meetings locally and internationally. She has been the reviewer for various journals including Malaysian Journal of Medicine MJM, Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences USM, journal of infectious diseases & immunity JIDI, Malaysian Journal of Medicine & Health Sciences UPM, The Malaysian Family Physician, Australasian Medical Journal. She has been associated with and active member of various professional bodies Malaysian Society of Head & Neck Surgeons, Member of Malaysian Medical Association, Member of the Malaysian Society of Allergy and Immunology, Member of European Society of Radiology, and International member of Korean Otorhinolaryngology Society. She is appointed as associate editor of Malaysian Journal Medicine & Health Sciences UPM since 2017.She has been member in curriculum committee and was the postgraduate coordinator. Dr. Sethu Subha is also Vice president of ‘Persatuan keturunan Malayalee hulu Langat ‘involved in various cultural activities and health & medical camps.

Her main research interest areas are head and neck oncology, molecular biomarkers etc. She actively supervises undergraduates , postgraduates and PhD students. She has presented in various scientific meetings locally and internationally.
