Professor Abd Rahim Abu Talib is a renowned scholar in the field of Aerospace Engineering. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Science from Rolls-Royce UTC at the University of Oxford in 2003, and his B.Eng (hons) in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Salford in 1998. He is currently the Vice-President and Fellow Member of the Malaysian Society for Engineering and Technology (MySET), and the Secretary General of SouthEast Asia Network on Aerospace Engineering (SANAE). He is also a registered ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer, registered Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a registered Professional Technologist with the Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT). His research and expertise include Aerodynamics, Heat Transfer, Propulsion, Sustainable Aviation & Materials. Professor Abd Rahim has been recognized for his work, receiving the International Sustainable Aviation & Energy Research Society (SARES) Young Scientist Award at the International Symposium of Sustainable Aviation in Budapest 2019, as well as a Science Award in Kuala Lumpur 2020.

Dr. Hang-Suin Yang received a B.S. degree from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2009, an M.S. degree from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 20011, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2015. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at National Cheng Kung University from 2015 to 2019 and then joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chung Yuan Christian University, Taoyuan, Taiwan. In 2019, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. His current research interests include Stirling engine/cryocooler/heat pump, concentrating solar power system, portable cryogenic system, thermoacoustic engine/cryocooler, and application of thermal energy.

Dr Luca Cioccolanti ‘PhD in Energetics in 2014 at Università Politecnica delle Marche. He was Assistant Professor of “Energy systems” at Ecampus University in the period 2015-2020. Since May 2020 he is Associate Professor in the same scientific sector. He participated in setting up and development of structures and syllabuses for a number of modules on energy topics in overseas Universities being involved and supporting the coordination of two CBHE Erasmus+ projects. His research activity is mainly focused on modelling and testing distributed energy systems based on renewables. In this field he took part to the EU funded H2020 ‘InnovaMicrosolar’ project from 2016 to 2022 and since 2019 he is coordinator of the CBHE Erasmus+ project ‘Skybelt’.

Dr. Jhen-Syuan Huang received his Ph.D. degree from Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan in 2021. His current position is assistant professor in Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan. He focuses on design and theory of Stirling machines, analysis of thermal cycle and heat exchangers.
