Regular researcher at the CHU de Québec Research Center, and professor in the Department of Psychiatry-Neurosciences, Dr. Guertin’s work focuses on paralysis. He discovered a pharmacological treatment called Spinalon that can powerfully activate the locomotor neurons of the spinal cord in paraplegic animals, despite complete injury. This discovery is patented and clinical trials (phase I-IIa) in humans have been successfully completed. Dr Ellen Frydenberg has more than 10yrs experience in neurosurgery and spine surgery. She has worked at some of the busiest neurosurgical and spine centres in Sydney Australia.
