Biography :
Prof. Min Li got his PhD from Emory University at Atlanta, Georgia in 2002. Under the supervision of Dr. Richard W. Compans, a world renowned virologist and immunologist, Dr. Li studied the regulation of a retrovirus envelope protein induced membrane fusion and the association with lipid rafts. He then moved on to Baylor College of Medicine at Houston, Texas, and started his career in cancer research as an Assistant Professor in 2004. Dr. Li joined the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Medical School in 2010 as the Director of Cancer Research Program. In 2014, Dr. Li joined the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center as full Professor of Medicine, Surgery, and Cell Biology, and holds Virginia Kerley Cade Endowed Chair in Cancer Treatment. He is the Director of GI Cancer Research in Department of Medicine, and Vice Chair for Research in Department of Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His research interests include pancreatic cancer and brain tumor pathogenesis, translational research, and new therapies. Dr. Li's group is the first one to identify a zinc transporter (ZIP4) as a new molecular target in pancreatic cancer and brain tumor, and has developed a novel therapy to treat this malignancy.

Dr. Mrinal K Ghosh is a leading scientist engaged in signal transduction in cancer and stem cells research as well as clinical cancer research in a collaborative effort with the clinicians and chemists. He has made extraordinary contribution in the field of basic and translational cancer research in India, focusing on signaling crosstalk(s), right target identification, drug development and targeted delivery. He is always enthusiastic and dynamic about new ideas and hypotheses. He has discovered a unique viral mechanism of chromatin remodeling in cancer initiation (Molecular Cell: 2003) and some intriguing mechanistic insights in cancer initiation and progression (Oncogene: 2005, 2013, 2015 and 2016(in press); EMBO J: 2001; JCB: 2000; FEBS J: 2014; Cell Signal: 2014 and 2016; Breast Can Res.: 2014; Molecular Therapy: 2015; Oncotarget: 2017 (in press) etc.). He has successfully supervised 10 PhD theses, 5 MS dissertations and currently guiding 10 PhD students and one DST-WOS. William Cheng-Chung Chu is a distinguished professor of the Department of Computer Science. He had served as the Dean of Software Engineering and Technologies Center at Tunghai University from 2004 to 2017, Taiwan. And he also had served as the Dean of Research and Development office from 2004 to 2007. From 1994 to 1998, he was the dean of Engineering College and an associate professor at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science at Feng Chia University. He was a research scientist at the Software Technology Center of the Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, Inc., where he received special contribution awards in both 1992 and 1993 and a PIP award in 1993. In 1992, he was also a visiting scholar at Stanford University. He is serving as the associate editor for Journal of Software Maintenance and Evolution (JSME), International Journal of Advancements in Computing Technology (IJACT) and Journal of Systems and Software (JSS). His current research interests include software engineering, embedded systems, and E-learning. Dr. Chu received his MS and PhD degrees from Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois, in 1987 and 1989, respectively, both in computer science. He has edited several books and published over 100 referred papers and book chapters, as well as participating in many international activities, including organizing international conferences, serving as the steering committee for COMPSAC, APSEC and the program committee of more than 70 international conferences.

Dr. Nanda Gopal Sahoo earned his Ph. D. degree in material science from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in 2004. After pursuing his Ph.D. degree, he worked in several countries with eminent scientists for nine years in various fields of materials science especially in the field of carbon nano materials and gained expertise and scientific orientation in several streams. He held the Scientist position (2012-13) in the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, A*Star, Singapore. Prior to this, he was attached as a scientist with the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) (ERI@N) (2011-2012). In 2008, he was awarded the most prestigious Lee Kuan Yew fellowship (2008-2011) in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), NTU. Prior to the Lee Kuan Yew fellowship, he had the opportunity to work as a Research Fellow at the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, NTU, (2006-2008) and at the Artificial Muscle Research Center, Konkuk University, South Korea (2005-2006).
After working for several years with different eminent groups, Dr. Sahoohas joined the Department of Chemistry, Kumaun University, Nainital as Associate Professor in 2013. He worked for the establishment of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Centre at the University. He is among the few BASE fellows sponsored by Indo-US Science and Technological Forum for advancing their research in the field of solar cell development in Virginia Commonwealth University, USA, 2014. His international and extensive research experience has allowed him to significantly contribute many areas of research and development such as fuel cell, nanopharmaceutical, drug delivery, polymer nanocomposites, polymer chemistry, and particle technology. He worked also as visiting scientist at Free University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany and Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea.
As per his carrier and research achievements, to date, he has published seventy eight (78) journal papers in high-quality international journals, and presented sixty two (62) papers in international and national conferences & symposiums. His total citations according to Google Scholar are 4700 and h index is 30.

His major interests are molecular mechanisms of tumors, especially the role of tumor microenvironment in cancer cell metabolism and chemoresistance and precision medicine in ovarian cancer. He is particularly interested in the impacts of components of tumor microenvironment in ovarian cancer progression. Dr. Pillai carried out extensive research in radioimmunoassay, radioisotope production and radiopharmaceuticals chemistry. He is an expert in isotope production using both reactor and cyclotron. Dr. Pillai authored over 200 publications including 30 review articles, holds 2 US patents, and presented over 100 invited lectures. He is authored three books. At the IAEA, he was responsible for editing and publication of 13 IAEA books on ‘Cyclotron Produced Radionuclides’, ‘technetium-99m radiopharmaceuticals’, ‘therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals’ and ‘radionuclide generators’. Dr. Pillai visited more than 50 countries in connection with his IAEA work. Dr. Pillai received six IAEA awards including a distinguished service award, a merit award, two team awards and two best publication awards during his seven year tenure.

Adama Ly is the President - Founder of AFROCANCER, an international network against cancer in Africa. He is also the Founder in 2009 and editor in chief of the revue “Journal Africain du Cancer/ African Journal of Cancer” published by Springer France.
Adama Ly is Doctor in Immunology and Oncology at University Paris XI and was member of the Doctoral school of Gustave Roussy cancer Institute (Villejuif, France). Dr. Ly received a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Innovations Management (Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris, France). He graduated in Master of Social Health (MSH) from Ecoles des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (School of High studies in social Sciences) (Paris). He was visiting fellow at Sydney Kimmel Cancer Center (SKCC, San Diego, California, USA) and at Martin Luther Wittenberg University (Halle, Germany).
As senor manager in medical and fundamental researches, he focuses his work in growth factors and antitumoral immunity and cellular therapies of tumours at INSERM (National Institute for Health and Medical Research) and University Paris XI.
As a promoter of the fight against cancer in Africa, he was the co-editor of the book “About cancer in Africa, from Epidemiology to biomedical applications and perspectives” a multidisciplinary book with 136 authors from 32 countries worldwide, published by the French National cancer Institute. Preface of Pr. Jean Dausset, medicine Nobel Prize owner.
As Lead coordinator in Health and development, Dr. Ly is conducting a project aiming to build an international Center for Cancer therapies and research in Senegal to help reducing the impact of cancer in African populations and to boost knowledge and exchanges between develop and developing countries.
Dr. Ly has received international awards (Laureate of the 2011 Editorial Award attributed by the Syndicate of Health profession’s publishers and medias (Paris 20 October 2011), was elected « Men of Year 2007 » with 14 other laureates by African medias and congratulations and Honours of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria ( 20 September 2007)
