Taesung Park received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Statistics from Seoul National University (SNU), Korea in 1984 and 1986, respectively and received his Ph.D. degree in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan in 1990. From Aug. 1991 to Aug. 1992, he worked as a visiting scientist at the NIH, USA. From Sep. 2002 to Aug. 2003, he was a visiting professor at the University of Pittsburgh. From Sep. 2009 to Aug. 2010, he was a visiting professor in Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington. From Sep. 1999 to Sep. 2001, he worked as an associate professor in Department of Statistics at SNU. Since Oct. 2001 he worked as a professor and currently the Director of the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Lab. at SNU. He served as the chair of the bioinformatics Program from Apr. 2005 to Mar. 2008, and the chair of Department of Statistics of SNU from Sep. 2007 and Aug. 2009.

Dr Hong-Lin Chan is head of the National Tsing-Hua University (Taiwan) for Quantitative Proteomics Group and has 10 years of experience in proteomic method development and application. Dr. Chan received his PhD degree from University College, University of London in 2005. After 2 year post-doctoral training in the wolfson institute for Biomedical Sciences, he took the current professorship from National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan. Dr. Chan’s group has expertise in the preparation, separation and quantification of proteins and post-translational modifications using mass spectrometry and other methods. Dr Chan was one of the first users of 2D-DIGE technology which is routinely used for protein expression profiling and the group has also established platforms which perform quantitative phosphoproteomics and redox-proteomics analysis.

Dr. Chan’s group is focused on: Serum biomarker discovery, characterising redox and UV stress responses in cell models, mechanisms of cellular signalling, proteomics based studies on breast cancer, prostate cancer and drug resistance formation. Methods include cell biology facilities, 2D-DIGE/MS and quantitative 2D-LC-MS/MS expression profiling.

Dr. Chien-Chang Chen so far is an assistant professor with department of biomedical sciences and engineering, national central university, Taiwan. He devoted himself in the modeling/device designs of BioMEMS and unsupervised learning algorithms in multidisciplinary applications. His research team and he are focusing on methods of engineering and scientific modeling and machine learning algorithms in biomedical applications. They designed specific bioelectromagnetic apparatus and micro-incubator to investigate the morphological variations and migrations of cancer cells. They are also developing algorithms of computer vision for structural reconstructions of cell morphologies using ultrasonic devices. Recently, they are pursuing an unsupervised learning method for 3-dimensional structural reconstructions of MRI and brainbow imageries.

After 2003, he join Asia University and served as assistant professor. In addition to colorectal cancer, another Dr. Tsai’s representative publication is The Analysis and Application of Machine Learning in Gene Chip Big Data. For ovarian cancer, in particular, he published A Bio-inspired Computing Model for Ovarian Carcinoma Classification and Oncogene Detection on Bioinformatics, ranked top five in bio-information area, in 2015. The research employed machining learning and data mining model to detect ovarian cancer patients with the target gene information. With further subsidy in 2016 for the project, Study of Metabolic Pathway and Genetic Network Mapping in Different Pathological Stages of Ovarian Cancer Based on Spatial Analysis, Data Mining Algorithms and Biological Experimental Methods, Dr. Tsai exerts cellular automata algorithm on the alignment of biological gene sequences and the outcome is extraordinary. In The 2017 World Multi-Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, Dr. Tsai also published A Hybrid Filter and Wrapper Algorithms for Genetic Pathway Analysis of Ovarian Cancer Microarray Dataset, combine neural network algorithm and gene algorithm for target gene research. She graduated from LHMC Delhi in 1980 topping in medicine in all 3 medical colleges thereby getting the DR Devi Chand Gold medal from the late PM Smt Indira Gandhi&also topped in all the MBBS subjects prior to that eg anatomy, pathology, biochem etc making her basics v sound &later she managed the endocrine clinic in PGI Chandigarh during her MD days .Following that she reported the 40th case in world literature of hydrometrocolpos working in Saudi Arabia &has been working in the field of neuroendocrinology to unearth the complexities of obesity with multiple publications to her name.Right now she is trying to work on the neurophysiology of GnRH control along with role of kisspeptins, prokineticins in human reproduction besides her endeavour to unearth the complexities of AIDS &Cancer –during this period she managed to successfully treat the first case of nongestational choriocarcinoma of uterine body in a young girl medically thereby preserving her fertility-the first case in world literature of its kind.

I am Dr. Alok Raghav Ph.D Endocrinology, worked on “Studies on glycated albumin and its clinical relevance in diabetes and its associated complications” under Prof. Jamal Ahmad. I worked hardly to set the goal of standard in the endocrinology field. During PhD duration, I deeply thought of making some diagnostic device for the detection of glycated albumin, as my area of specialization is also glycated albumin. I submitted the entry for the award in Gandhian Young Innovation Technological Award and also in Knimbus Young Innovator award. I was among the top 20 entries throughout the country for my idea and got the appreciation certificate also. The idea for creating the hypothesis lies with the fact that glycated albumin is a short term glycemic marker other than HbA1c. The sensor named as glycabumin sensor and it was noninvasive device that I proposed. Apart from this gadget idea, I have been felicitated with the young scientist award at Integral University, Lucknow during an International Conference for the best paper presentation in oral category. I have also received prestigious Elsevier travel award for attending the international conference in Miami, USA. Aligarh Muslim University, also given me travel award for attending the International conference at Budapest, Hungary. The prestigious and rarest award from Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India also given me a cash prize travel award for presenting research paper at RSSDI Hyderabad. Dr. Alexander E. Berezin has received PhD in 1994 in the State Medical University of Zaporozhye (Ukraine). He is currently working as a Professor of Medicine in the State Medical University of Zaporozhye (Ukraine). His research goals are fundamental study of biological markers, the development of cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation. Based on this research and training in heart failure he has received several awards and honors. He has published 850 papers and more in reputed journals, 27 books/chapters and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute.

My Electrical Engineering education was completed long ago, in 1976. In 1982 I took Computer hard ware training in Kiev, then USSR. In 1984 I passed Industrial Engineering, a master degree equivalent. In 1985 my Electronics paper came in magazine ‘Industrial Electronics Equipment Design’ A McGraw-Hill New York publication. In 1990 I presented a paper ( RO-56) “Adaptive trajectory databases for Manipulator control” in International Conference on Automation, Robotics and Computer Vision (ICARCV ’90), 18-21 September, 1990, at Hilton International Singapore. A 1992 onwards I started my physics. I thought it is very interesting to try to solve the singularity free N-Body problem from Newton times. I started presenting papers in many parts of world that time on word till today on fundamental Physics. Till today I never stopped my education in different subjects. My Books are published in 2010 to 2013.Retirement from Bhilai Steel plant at the age 60 on 31 Aug 2014 after 37.5 years of service.

Gajendra Sharma completed doctoral degree in Information Systems Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He received the degree of Masters of Engineering in Electronics and Communication in 1997 from Moscow Technical University of Telecommunication and Informatics, Russia. During the following years, he was employed in different IT companies and corporate organizations in Nepal as a professional engineer. He had also worked in a managerial and academic position in different companies and engineering institutions. He also served as a chief of engineering campus in Nepal for six years from 2005 to 2011 (including study leave). Besides managerial and technical work experience, he has been engaged in academic activities for more than twelve years. His research and teaching interest is focused on information systems, e-commerce (including e-business), strategic management of information technology (IT), IT adoption, design and evaluation of IT infrastructure, strategic management of IT as well as e-governance and ethics. Moreover, he has research interest on public administration, conflict management as well as disaster and emergency management.
