Dr Manas Ranjan Swain is a research scientist in bio-processing of agricultural waste to value added product production. Currently associated with DBT-IOC centre for Advance Bio-energy research fro commercialization 2G- bioethanol production from agricultural waste from 2016-till date. He obtained his PhD in the year 2009 in field of applied Microbiology. Dr. Swain worked as Lecturer for several years in the field of Biotechnology. Apart of this he worked as Institute Post Doctorate fellow at Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 2013 to 2016. His research interest mostly focuses in value added product production from low cost substrate, enzyme production, and functional food development. In this field, he has more than 40 SCI journal papers, more than 20 book chapters and several patents. He has more than 10 year’s research experience in the field of fermentation technology.
