Biography :

Dr Mehdi Soltani obtained his DVM from university of Tehran in 1990 and his PhD from university of Tasmania, Australia in 1995. He is currently a full professor of aquatic animal health in university of Tehran involving in both teaching and research in aquaculture/aquatic animal health. Professor Soltani has been involved in aquaculture sector in the Middle East giving plenty of consultancies to the aquaculture industry. The production of some vaccines (bivalent vaccine to strepotococcosis/lactococcosis, yersiniosis vaccine and oral DNA plasmid vaccine to IPN) and probiotics are some results of Dr Soltaniā€˜s research and development activities plus contribution in publication of 250 research papers in field of aquatic animal health and 5 books. Professor Soltani is currently director of Iran aquatic animal health association, branch officer of European Association of Fish Pathologists and director of center of excellence of aquatic animal health at university of Tehran
