Dr. Swarnlata Saraf graduated from I.T, B.H.U and Master’s with JRF-UGC (1991) and PhD with SRF-CSIR from Dr. H. S. Gour Vishwavidalaya, Sagar in January 1994. She worked as an active member of Pharmacy Council of India nominated by UGC(2008-2013) and significantly contributed to draft education regulations in 2014 and 2015 and initiated continuous education concept in PCI, New Delhi. Her field of specialization is pharmaceutics especially novel drug delivery , nanotechnology, herbal/Phytoconstituents delivery & cosmetics. She awarded best university teaching department in the university for consecutive two years i.e. 2014 & 2015 during her tenure as Director of the University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.She is recipient of Illustrious alumini awardee of sagar university,Honored by IPGAfor her contribution in profession.She received Best research paper award by APTI,IPC, P D Sethi award and medicinal plant Board –Vanaushadhi 2018.she also received m,erit award by Brihad Bhartiya Samaj Mumbai. she guided 29 Master Degrees with 17 Ph.D., written 06 books & 14 chapters in edited Books,filed 14 patents and contributed more than 250 scientific publications , member of editorial board , reviewer of journals & books . Her work is highly read and cited worldwide garnering over 4200 citations and impressive H-index of 31 & i-10 index 84. She awarded with APTI & IPC best research paper. She participated as an expert/Chief guest of scientific sessions, chairpersons, resource person and judge scientific sessions, as well as organized various National and International seminars and workshops. She is Principle coordinator and Project Co-coordinator of various project sanctioned by University Grant Commission (UGC), AICTE and DST, UGC-SAP,DST- FIST ,AICTE - MODROB and CG COST. She Served as Project evaluation expert of International Funding Agency, Israel Science Foundation and ICMR,DST New Delhi. She also served as an expert of project interface committee of UGC. She served as referee of APTI Best paper award and essay competition of NPW-IPA 2015. She served as chairman of board of studies & member selection committees of the universities, member of institute scrutiny committee, education regulation committee of Pharmacy Council of India, Expert of University approval committee of UGC & Member/member co-ordinator of Accreditation committee of NAAC for colleges, state and central universities, Karmchari Chayan Ayog, New Delhi. She also served profession through membership FIP, CRS, ISP,IPCA scientific committee(IPCA-SSC 2013-2015), IPA, and as first lady Vice President-APTI national team and so on. She visited various parts of the world including Nepa;l,Switzerland, Singapore, UAE and for UK as one of the member of Indian delegation of Pharmacy council of India to study pharmacy profession in different sector like British Pharmaceuticals Industry, Pfizer Global Research and development, University of London etc. She also feel social responsibility to serve the communities and working as president and treasurer in the organizations like Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal, Malviya Mission ,Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya shaikshik Mahashangh and also serving for women of the Nation through “Shakti” initiated by Vigyan Bharati.
