Dr. Shivalika Pathania received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, respectively, from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab (India). She has done Ph.D. in bioinformatics/computational biology jointly from CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur (India) and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (India) in 2017, where she studied computational systems-biological analysis of medicinal plants and utility of natural molecules in health care system through pharmacoinforamtics approach. She is currently employed as Science and Engineering Research Board-National Postdoctoral Fellow (SERB- NPDF) at Bioinformatics Centre, CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh. Her current search involves analysis of high-throughput data and development of computational approaches, which includes multi-omics data integration and applying network-biology and machine learning techniques, to predict candidate genes and pathways that regulate plant stress response and fruit ripening.
