Dr. Hassan Azari has received his PhD from Medical University of Isfahan (MUI) in the field of anatomical sciences- stem cell biology. Currently, he is working as an assistant professor in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS). He has successfully established Shiraz Stem Cell Institute (SSCI) in year 2012 and currently serves as the executive director of SSCI. His primary research interests include neural stem cell biology and it's applications in regenerative neuroscience. He is also interested in brain tumor biology and therapy. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Frontiers in Neurotrauma & Journal of Stem Cell Research and Therapy, and expert reviewer for journals like Science Reports, Journal of Neuroscience Research and Journal of Visualized Experiments. He has published more than 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is an author of 3-book chapter.
