Biography :

Dr. Collino is the Author of 82 papers (from 2001 to 2014), including: 50 full papers published in international journals with Impact Factor; 30 Proceedings published in international journals with Impact Factor; 2 Book chapters 51 abstracts of National and International Congresses. He is the Visiting Scientist: William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary's School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London (UK) from 09/2003 to 12/2004 Fellow of the Italian Pharmacological Society, British Pharmacological Society, European Shock Society, European Biomedical Research Association

Research Interest :

Pathophysiology and the pharmacological therapy of diet-induced insulin resistance and the related cardiovascular risk factors, mainly organ-related ischemic events. Specifically, investigation of the pharmacological potential of selective ligands of the enzyme GSK-3beta, nuclear receptors PPAR and erythropoietin derivatives in in vivo models of ischemic diseases (myocardial infarction, stroke, acute kidney injury), shock (hemorrhagic and endotoxic shock) and diet-induced (mainly sugar-induced) dysmetabolism.
