I am Professor of Obstetrics at Rio de Janeiro Federal University, MD, PhD, with postdoctoral degree from Harvard Medical School (Brigham and Women's Hospital) and Imperial College of London (Charing Cross Hospital).

I am currently director of the Rio de Janeiro Trophoblastic Disease Center and devote my academic activity to basic, clinical and translational research in gestational trophoblastic disease - my major area of interest.
