Biography :

Dr. Jan Boublik is on faculty at Stanford University in Stanford, CA He graduated medical school from Medizinische Hochschule Hannover (Hannover Medical School) in Hannover, Germany where he also received his PhD in Bioengineering (tissue engineering). During his PhD, he also was appointed as Visiting Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST) for two years in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Langer. Following a research fellowship at Columbia University, he completed residency training at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Subsequetnly, he joined the faculty at NYU where he served as faculty both at the Langone Medical Center and Hospital for Joint Diseases. His research interests include the integration of perioperative point-of-care ultrasonography (PoCUS) in anesthesia practice, the effects of regional anesthetic and analgesic techniques on functional outcomes after surgery, innovative technologies and techniques in regional medicine and acute pain medicine.
