Dr.Meiyu Zhai obtained B. eng. in Department of Chemical Processing (2009) from Beijing Forestry University (BFU), Beijing, China, and Ph.D(2015) in Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University (TTU), Lubbock, TX. She had been working in the Polymer and Condensed Matter Physics Group at Texas Tech University(2009-2015) as research assistant and her research focus on the characterization of mechanical and rheological properties of materials at both macro and nanoscales. She served as projects leader for different national and international projects and collaborated different national and international institutes She has more than 15 publications and 22 conference presentations. Also her work on the nanoindentation characterization has been reported by multiple medias in different countries. Now she is working as senior application engineer in Polaronyx, San Jose, CA, for supporting the technical development and commercialization of combination ultra fast laser additive and laser subtractive manufacturing. She has solid knowledge in the material science and plentiful experience on the theory and industrial application correlation.
