Dr. Anju is currently Assistant Professor at Department of Biotechnology, Newman College, Kerala, India and the Secretary of Society for Biotechnologists (India), a National society with headquarters in Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin. She served as the Director and Head of Centre for Advanced Research, Athreya Research Foundation. She completed her Ph.D at Centre for Neuroscience, Cochin University of Science and Technology and her postgraduate studies at Gulbarga University, Karnataka. After her Ph.D, she completed her postdoctoral research on a five year project funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India to study the long term effects of neonatal hypoglycemia. Her research interests lie in the areas of molecular neurobiology of neonatal disorders and neurodegenerative disorders. She is also actively collaborating in research in the field of virology, bacteriology and nanotechnology.
