Biography :

Dr. John Zheng Wang is a full professor of Criminal Justice and Forensic Studies in School of Criminal Justice, Criminology, and Emergency Management at California State University-Long Beach. He also serves as Director and an Instructor for the Applied Forensic Science & Crime Analysis and High Tech Crime Investigation Certificate Programs at CSULB. From 1988 to 1994, he earned his M.P.A. from Northern Michigan University and doctoral degree from Indiana University of PA. From1996 to1999, Dr. Wang taught as an adjunct instructor for the Huston Police Academy. Since 2009 he has been an expert instructor for California Police Command College (POST). He is a fellow of American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) and members of International Association for Identification (IAI), International Association for Identification-CA, and Southern California Association of Fingerprint Officers (SCAFO). He is also a member for American Chemical Society (ACS) and American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS). Since 2016, Dr. Wang has been elected to be a voting member of the AAFS’s ASC National Firearm/Tool-marks Consensus Committee. He publishes widely in several areas of forensic sciences

Digital Measurements of Firearm and Fingerprint Evidence, Elemental Analysis of Trace Evidence, Crime Scene Investigation, Microanalysis of Live Biological Evidence, and Forensic Medical Examination.
