Dr. Nanda Gopal Sahoo earned his Ph. D. degree in material science from IIT Kharagpur in 2004. He held the Scientist position (2012-13) in the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, A*Star, Singapore. Professor Abel Vieira is born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1951. He obtained his Graduation in Chemical Engineering in 1974 at Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon), his PhD in Chemistry in 1988 at Universidade Técnica de Lisboa and his Habilitation in Chemistry, speciality Organic Chemistry in 2011 at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In both Universities he has been professor of several disciplines in the area of Organic Chemistry. His main research interests are in the area of Physical Organic Chemistry, Radical Chemistry and Radiation Chemistry. He integrates a research group in Green Chemistry at Universidade Nova de Lisboa – LAQV-REQUIMTE – where he runs his own research group (Oxidative stress and Antioxidants) and keeps several collaborations with other portuguese and foreign groups, mainly in France and Germany. He supervised several PhD and Post-Doc students, is a referee of international peer reviewed journals and member of Scientific Societies, such as the Portuguese Chemical Society, where he was the head of the Free Radicals Group. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the same university in 1995. He joined the master program at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi in 1995, and in 2000 was awarded a Ph. D. degree in Organic Chemistry. From 2000 to 2002, he was a postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Professor Samuel Braverman at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. In 2003 he was selected as a member of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, working with Professor Henning Hopf in TU Braunschweig - Germany. Shin-ichi Yusa is a native of Japan and received B.S. (1993) and M.S. (1995) degrees in polymer chemistry from Osaka University under the direction of Prof. Mikiharu Kamachi and Prof. Yotaro Morishima. He received a Ph.D. from Osaka University (2000) for a thesis entitled: “Synthesis of Cholesterol Bearing Polymers and Their Self-Assembling Properties.” He joined Himeji Institute of Technology as an assistant professor in 1997. He became associate professor of University of Hyogo (2008). His research interests are in controlled radical polymerization and characterization of water-soluble polymers. He is currently on Associate Editor of Polymers (MDPI Publishing) and Editorial Advisory Board of Langmuir (ACS). Jesús Anzano was born on October 23, 1960 in Poleñino, Huesca, SPAIN. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from the University of Zaragoza in 1984, 1985 and 1988, respectively. He served as a post doctoral fellow at the University of Florida (Department of Chemistry, Analytical Division, where his research advisor was Professor J.D. Winefordner). In February 1988, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Zaragoza, (Department of Analytical Chemistry, Science Faculty). In October 1989, he was promoted to Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry at the , Polytechnic University School of the University of Zaragoza. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry at the UZ. His research interests include all techniques based on the interaction of light with matter, principally laser spectroscopy techniques. He has worked on various projects with (for) the Spanish Education and Science Ministry. From 1997 to 2001 he was a regular visitor at the UF working with Prof. James Winefordner on laser induced breakdown spectroscopy. He has published nearly 100 scientific papers in journals of high international prestige and presented posters on the above topics at international and national congresses on analytical chemistry. He has also given seminars for industry. Since coming to the University of Zaragozae he has directed PhD theses at the University of Zaragoza. He worked at University of California, Berkeley with Prof. Stephen R. Leone at Department of Chemistry during summer 2010. From September 2017 is full professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, University of Zaragoza and head of Laser Laboratory & Enviroment Group.

He studied with Guo Hongxia and was engaged in computer simulation of soft matter. Since 2010, he has been engaged in the research of Senior Research Fellow (Collaborator: Prof. Li Shuzhou) at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. During his research, he used molecular dynamics and quantum mechanical simulation to study the self-assembly of nanoparticles. Hydrophilic and hydrophilic hydrophobic self-assembly of membranes, self-assembly of liquid-liquid interface of Plato nanoparticle, drug delivery. The main research interests include the exploration of the interactions between nanomaterials through theoretical and multiscale computational tools.

Dr. Amit Kumar Tiwari received his Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology and Science-Pilani, Pilani campus, Rajasthan India in 2014. After that he was working in university of Lille-1, France as postdoctoral researcher from 2014-2015. From, 2015 to till date he is working as research fellow in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His specialization is on colloidal chemistry, fluorescence spectroscopy, synthesis of surfactants, hydrogels, and solvation dynamics. Sung Cheal Moon is a chemical engineer. He did all his studies at the Department of Polymer Engineering and Science of Chousun University in GwangJu, Republic of Korea, where he later was a professor and research scientist. Now he is at the Bioenvironmental and Chemical Engineering Department at Chosun College University of Science & Technology and Industrial Technology Support Division at Korea Institute of Materials Science. He is teaching about polymer science, polymer materials, industrial chemistry, and chemical engineering at Chosun University.

Dr. ALIREZA RAFIEERAD, from Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya and is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Chong Cheng is a DRS and AvH postdoc researcher in Freie Universität Berlin. He obtained his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Changsheng Zhao. She has an excellent experience in analytical laboratory instruments; during her postdoctoral stay in California, she had got special experiences in the advanced lab of Peter A Rock Thermochemistry Laboratory and NEAT ORU, University of California at Davis, under the supervision of Professor Alexandra Navrotsky. During her staying at NEAT ORU lab, she measured the interface enthalpy of nanocrystalline silver(I) oxide (Ag2O.nH2O). she synthesized Ag2O.nH2O nanocrystalline samples of varying surface areas and degrees of agglomeration by wet chemical technique. Moreover, she tried to find a new analytical approach to determine oxidation states in complex refractory oxides containing iron, uranium, cerium and other mixed valence cations. Using titrimetry method, which is rarely applied to refractory oxides and pure metal powders because of their low solubility in water. During her work at the laboratories of the University of Jordan, her researches in the field of wastewater and water treatment focus in using different low-cost, natural adsorbents from the Jordanian local environment. I studied the adsorption isotherm of humic acid onto local kaolinite clay using different isotherm models, trying to explore the effects of humic acid concentration, pH, and temperature during this process. Kinetic, equilibrium and thermodynamic studies of adsorption of some heavy metals from aqueous solution onto modified adsorbent were also investigated using both batch and column techniques. I am pursing my present research in areas related to condensed matter nanoscience, crystal structure, material properties, defects of various bulk structures porous materials and 2D layer materials (e.g. transition metal-dichalcogenides) as applicable to semiconductor materials and also their application as catalysis or photo-catalysts such as H2 evolution reactions, O2 reduction reactions and O2 evolution reactions on the surfaces of 2D layer materials. My current research is focused on the collaborative potential between Physical and Chemical Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering with Theoretical and Computational Science to investigate the new bulk structure and 2D layer materials, nanoporous materials, their structure, electronic properties and their potential applications in nanotechnology, and alkali-ion battery, renewable energy and various chemical reactions. I am interested in studying the detailed mechanism of the gas storage, gas separation, water purification and adsorption in the metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), porous coordination polymers (PCPs) using DFT, QM/MM and grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) simulations, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, material design for energy application. Currently, I am also working on transition metal intercalation in graphene, COFs materials to investigate their material properties and to design new materials which have many application in nano material science. I am highly interested in studying the electronic structure calculations of several kinds of MOFs, COFs, zeolites and organics molecules, design of new catalysis and their impact on the electrical properties, battery, renewable energy, chemical reaction mechanism, reaction pathways, using first-principles DFT methods and the most powerful quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) simulation techniques.

At present, Dr. Harikishan R. Ellamla working as a postdoctoral research fellow at Federal University of São Carlos, São Carlos, Brazil in the field of bio-energy. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at HySA Systems Competence Center, Cape Town, south Africa in the field of fuel cell CHP systems. Dr. Harikishan R. Ellamla received PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad in 2013. During his PhD research, Reddy worked in the research area of “Thermal management studies for a high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell stack”. He was graduated from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela with Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering. During his school studies he received a “Muthi Lingaji Memorial Award”, which is regularly awarded to best students of the ZPH School. During his studies he actively participated and various positions held as a Maintenance Secretary of C. V. Raman Hall of Residence, as an Organizing Committee Member of ChEmference-09, as an Executive Council Member of NIT Rourkela Alumni Association.

Dr. Ali Piroozian is an experienced researcher with a significant refereed publication record of doctoral standard. He has more than 7 years of multidisciplinary research experience in drilling, production, reservoir, and enhanced oil recovery engineering. He is particularly interested in multiphase flow in pipes, flow assurance and cuttings transport. He has authored several publications on these subjects. To experience industrial practices, he had also participated in a petroleum engineering internship and worked with Potk Rah Kavir Co., where long hours under pressure and dirty hands are to be expected. Ali comes across as a strong mentor with tested leadership abilities. He has strong communications skills and able to deal with people at all levels. His engaging personality and willingness to tackle engineering challenges combined with his excellent laboratory and computer skills makes him a valuable asset to any organization.

Associate professor Dr HO SOON MIN is presently working at Faculty of Information Technology, Mathematic and Sciences, INTI International University, Malaysia. He received his Ph. D in Materials Chemistry at University Putra Malaysia. He taught various academic courses in chemistry field such as physical chemistry, general chemistry, green chemistry and chemistry & society since last seven years. His research areas include green chemistry, semiconductor, nano materials, applied chemistry, activated carbon and thin film solar cell. He has authored or co-authored for more than 120 articles in international refereed journals and 10 book chapter as well. He was appointed as journal reviewer, editorial board member, thesis evaluator (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysia) and head of centre of applied chemistry & green chemistry.

Has sixteen years of professional experience including teaching, research and industry. Expertise in isolation and structural elucidation of natural products, quantifications of bio-active markers, stan¬dardization of herbal drugs and in-vitro antiplasmodial screenings. Also, exposure in bio-remediation, determination of cytotoxic and anti-microbial assays. His area of research interest is to develop potent an¬timalarials. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, India.

Prof. Dr Magda Ali Akl (Mrs.) has received her PhD in MANSOURA University (EGYPT) during the period of 1990. Currently, she is working as PROFESSOR of ANALYTIICAL CHEMISTRY in MANSOURA University (EGYPT). She has successfully completed her Administrative responsibilities as HEAD of Environmental Analysis Lab., Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt, Member of Mansoura University NanoCenter Administrative Council and Chief of the Scientific Committee of Mansoura University NanoTechnology Center. Her research has included scientific achievements in the area of analytical chemistry, nanotechnology as well as environmental analysis of pollutants in (food, pesticides or insecticides, water, soil), pharmaceutical analysis of pharmaceutical compounds in its formulations and metal determination in ores and in environmental and biological samples. Based on this research and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as: Mansoura University Prize, 2007. She has supervised more than 35 PhD and MSc theses dealing with different topics. She is serving as an expert Reviewer for journals like Analytical Sciences, Separation Science and Technology, Microchimica Acta, J. of Hazardous materials, SAA and CEJ. Abd El-Aziz El-Sayed Fouda He received his B.Sc. Chemistry, Cairo University, Egypt, 1972, M.Sc. in Physical and Inorganic Chemistry, from El-Mansoura University, Egypt, 1975 and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, El-Mansoura University, Egypt, 1979, 1988, Prof. of Physical Chemistry, D.Sc in Chemistry 2013. Qatar University, Qatar, 1988-1992. He is a member of Egyptian corrosion Bulletin, Member of the editorial many Journals. He granted the Chemical Engineering Department and Material Science, Minnesota University, USA 1982-1983 and Institute, Bonn Univ. Germany 1989. He had prizes from National Award for Chemistry from Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Cairo, 1982, first class State Medal of Sciences and Arts, 1984 and Prize of El-Nasr Company for Fertilizers, Talkha, 1981. He is an international reviewer for a huge number of thesis, journals and projects. He had published more than 300 papers in international journals.

His main research interests are in the field of Physical Chemistry, Especially electrochemistry (Corrosion and corrosion inhibition in all media for metals and alloys, Fuel cells, Electrode position of metals and oxides).

Dr. Vandana Sakhre has over 19 years of experience of teaching, research and industry, which includes 14 years as Assistant Professor, 2.5 years of Industrial experience and 3 years as Research Fellow of CSIR Labs. During teaching she has developed various labs including Heat Transfer, Mass Transfer and Chemical Reaction Engineering labs. The advance separation and research lab for M.Tech program was also developed. Besides teaching at UG and PG levels, Dr. Vandana Sakhre has made a significant contribution to R & D in Chemical Engineering. She is developed Gamma Irradiation Technique for Desulphurisation of high sulphur coals. She worked on Risk assessment of Chemical process industries. She has guided M. Tech. Scholars and has been awarded a Research Project from the AICTE in the field of Chemical Engineering. One pilot scale plant of Reactive Distillation column was developed and installed in MITS, Gwalior with Research fund obtained from AICTE.

Apart from Teaching, it is mandatory to carry out research and publish papers. For this I have done some experimental work like synthesis of biodiesel, synthesis of ethers, synthesis of esters and synthesis of polymers in the laboratory both by conventional synthesis and synthesis in Reactive Distillation Column (RDC). I have developed kinetic models of the reactions carried out during synthesis and developed modeling equations. Apart from this I have performed detailed simulation with few innovations in design and synthesis in simulation software’s like Aspen Plus, Unisim Simulation Environment and MATLAB. Through all these researches I taught UG and PG students the various aspects of Laboratory Synthesis Techniques as well as Simulation Studies. With these studies including development of soft sensor for control of reactive distillation column using Neural Network I have also completed my Ph.D thesis. The UG and PG students also completed their project using pilot scale reactive distillation set up and simulation using process simulator as well as MATLAB.
