Dr. A. Heidari, Ph.D., D.Sc. is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Chemistry. He has got his Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees form California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. Furthermore, he has double postdocs in Project Management and also in Nanochemistry and Molecular Structure Theory. His research interests are Biophysical Chemistry, Nanochemistry, Quantum Chemistry, Biomolecular and Vibrational Spectroscopy, Molecular Modeling and Structure, Theoretical, Computational and Mathematical Chemistry, Ab initio and Density Functional Methods. He has participated at more than fifty reputed international conferences, seminars, congresses, symposiums and forums around the world as yet. Also, he possesses many published articles in Science Citation Index (SCI)/International Scientific Index (ISI) Journals. It should be noted that he has visited many universities or scientific and academic research institutes in different countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Netherlands, Russia, France, Swiss, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, South Korea, China, etc. as research fellow, sabbatical and volunteer researcher or visitor heretofore. He has a history of several years of teaching for college students and various disciplines and trends in different universities. Moreover, he has been a senior advisor in various industry and factories. He is expert in many computer programs and programming languages. Hitherto, he has authored more than ten books in Chemistry. Syne, he has been awarded more than three hundreds reputed international awards, prizes, scholarships and honors. Heretofore, he has multiple editorial duties in many reputed international journals. Irshad A. Wani was born and raised in state, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Dr. Nanda Gopal Sahoo earned his Ph. D. degree in material science from IIT Kharagpur in 2004. After pursuing his Ph.D. degree, he worked in several countries with eminent scientists for nine years in various fields of materials science especially in the field of carbon nano materials and gained expertise and scientific orientation in several streams. He held the Scientist position (2012-13) in the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, A*Star, Singapore. Prior to this, he was attached as a scientist with the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) (ERI@N) (2011-2012) where he worked on graphene based materials for fuel cell application. In 2008, he was awarded the most prestigious Lee Kuan Yew fellowship (2008-2011) in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), NTU. Prior to the Lee Kuan Yew fellowship, he had the opportunity to work as a Research Fellow at the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, NTU, (2006-2008) and at the Artificial Muscle Research Center, Konkuk University, South Korea (2005-2006). After working for several years with different eminent groups, Dr. Sahoo joined the Department of Chemistry, Kumaun University, Nainital as Associate Professor in 2013. He worked for the establishment of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Centre at the University. He is among the few BASE fellows sponsored by Indo-US Science and Technological Forum for advancing their research in the field of solar cell development in Virginia Commonwealth University, USA, 2014. His international and extensive research experience has allowed him to significantly contribute many areas of research and development such as fuel cell, nanopharmaceutical, drug delivery, polymer nanocomposites, polymer chemistry, and particle technology. He worked also as visiting scientist at Free University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany and Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea. As per his carrier and research achievements, to date, he has published seventy two (72) journal papers in high-quality international journals, and presented forty eight (48) papers in international and national conferences & symposiums. He obtained his Graduation in Chemical Engineering in 1974 at Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon), his PhD in Chemistry in 1988 at Universidade Técnica de Lisboa and his Habilitation in Chemistry, speciality Organic Chemistry in 2011 at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In both Universities he has been professor of several disciplines in the area of Organic Chemistry. His main research interests are in the area of Physical Organic Chemistry, Radical Chemistry and Radiation Chemistry. He integrates a research group in Green Chemistry at Universidade Nova de Lisboa – LAQV-REQUIMTE – where he runs his own research group (Oxidative stress and Antioxidants) and keeps several collaborations with other portuguese and foreign groups, mainly in France and Germany. He supervised several PhD and Post-Doc students, is a referee of international peer reviewed journals and member of Scientific Societies, such as the Portuguese Chemical Society, where he was the head of the Free Radicals Group. He participated in / organized national and international scientific conferences, was a member of a European COST Action and published in high IF journals (see list of publications). Professor Vieira, besides his mother language, Portuguese, is fluent in French, German and English.

Jesús Anzano was born on October 23, 1960 in Poleñino, Huesca, SPAIN. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from the University of Zaragoza in 1984, 1985 and 1988, respectively. He served as a post doctoral fellow at the University of Florida (Department of Chemistry, Analytical Division, where his research advisor was Professor J.D. Winefordner). In February 1988, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Zaragoza, (Department of Analytical Chemistry, Science Faculty). In October 1989, he was promoted to Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry at the , Polytechnic University School of the University of Zaragoza. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry at the UZ. His research interests include all techniques based on the interaction of light with matter, principally laser spectroscopy techniques. He has worked on various projects with (for) the Spanish Education and Science Ministry. From 1997 to 2001 he was a regular visitor at the UF working with Prof. James Winefordner on laser induced breakdown spectroscopy. He has published nearly 100 scientific papers in journals of high international prestige and presented posters on the above topics at international and national congresses on analytical chemistry. He has also given seminars for industry. Since coming to the University of Zaragozae he has directed PhD theses at the University of Zaragoza. He worked at University of California, Berkeley with Prof. Stephen R. Leone at Department of Chemistry during summer 2010. From September 2017 is full professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, University of Zaragoza and head of Laser Laboratory & Enviroment Group.

He is the director of University Labs, workshops and investment (Position of Dean). He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Chemistry in March 2006, from National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), University of Pune, India. His thesis was based on Durability of Radiation-Sterilized Biomedical Polyolefins: Stabilization of Ethylene-Polypropylene Copolymer to Gamma Initiated Oxidation. His research experience is in the fields of Polymers Degradation and Stabilization, Biodegradable Polymers, synthesis of stabilizers, stabilizers interaction and synergism mechanism, polymer morphology and Environmental Chemistry. He received his M.Sc. in April 2000 from BAMU University, Aurangabad, India. He has published several researches dealing with Degradation and Stabilization of Biomedical Plastics and Packaging materials using food approved stabilizers against γ-sterilization published in different peer-reviewed journals and 2 books dealing with these topics. He was awarded the Prize of Yemeni President for Scientific Research in 2009 in the Field of Natural Science. She has an excellent experience in analytical laboratory instruments; during her postdoctoral stay in California, she had got special experiences in the advanced lab of Peter A Rock Thermochemistry Laboratory and NEAT ORU, University of California at Davis, under the supervision of Professor Alexandra Navrotsky. During her staying at NEAT ORU lab, she measured the interface enthalpy of nanocrystalline silver(I) oxide (Ag2O.nH2O). she synthesized Ag2O.nH2O nanocrystalline samples of varying surface areas and degrees of agglomeration by wet chemical technique. Moreover, she tried to find a new analytical approach to determine oxidation states in complex refractory oxides containing iron, uranium, cerium and other mixed valence cations. Using titrimetry method, which is rarely applied to refractory oxides and pure metal powders because of their low solubility in water. During her work at the laboratories of the University of Jordan, her researches in the field of wastewater and water treatment focus in using different low-cost, natural adsorbents from the Jordanian local environment. I studied the adsorption isotherm of humic acid onto local kaolinite clay using different isotherm models, trying to explore the effects of humic acid concentration, pH, and temperature during this process. Kinetic, equilibrium and thermodynamic studies of adsorption of some heavy metals from aqueous solution onto modified adsorbent were also investigated using both batch and column techniques. Currently, she has extended her research direction toward the corner of antibacterial nanocomposite polymeric membrane based water filter.

I am pursing my present research in areas related to condensed matter nanoscience, crystal structure, material properties, defects of various bulk structures porous materials and 2D layer materials (e.g. transition metal-dichalcogenides) as applicable to semiconductor materials and also their application as catalysis or photo-catalysts such as H2 evolution reactions, O2 reduction reactions and O2 evolution reactions on the surfaces of 2D layer materials. My current research is focused on the collaborative potential between Physical and Chemical Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering with Theoretical and Computational Science to investigate the new bulk structure and 2D layer materials, nanoporous materials, their structure, electronic properties and their potential applications in nanotechnology, and alkali-ion battery, renewable energy and various chemical reactions. I am interested in studying the detailed mechanism of the gas storage, gas separation, water purification and adsorption in the metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), porous coordination polymers (PCPs) using DFT, QM/MM and grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) simulations, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, material design for energy application. Currently, I am also working on transition metal intercalation in graphene, COFs materials to investigate their material properties and to design new materials which have many application in nano material science. I am highly interested in studying the electronic structure calculations of several kinds of MOFs, COFs, zeolites and organics molecules, design of new catalysis and their impact on the electrical properties, battery, renewable energy, chemical reaction mechanism, reaction pathways, using first-principles DFT methods and the most powerful quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) simulation techniques.

Apart from Teaching, it is mandatory to carry out research and publish papers. For this I have done some experimental work like synthesis of biodiesel, synthesis of ethers, synthesis of esters and synthesis of polymers in the laboratory both by conventional synthesis and synthesis in Reactive Distillation Column (RDC). I have developed kinetic models of the reactions carried out during synthesis and developed modeling equations. Apart from this I have performed detailed simulation with few innovations in design and synthesis in simulation software’s like Aspen Plus, Unisim Simulation Environment and MATLAB. Through all these researches I taught UG and PG students the various aspects of Laboratory Synthesis Techniques as well as Simulation Studies. With these studies including development of soft sensor for control of reactive distillation column using Neural Network I have also completed my Ph.D thesis.
