Ph.D. in Physiology, University of Rome in 1989. Visiting scientist at the Cardiovascular Center, Cornell University Medical Center, New York, NY, USA in 1991 1992. Visiting scientist, at the Department of Physiology, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, in 1992. Fulbright Scholar and Visiting Professor at the Division of Endocrinology and Hypertension, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, USA in 1994-1995. Visiting Professor at the Capitol University of Medical Sciences, Bejing (China) in 1994. Editor in Chief of “Giornale di Gerontologia” and Associate Editor of “Aging- Clinical and Experimental Research”. Member of the editorial board of other reputed journals. Granted a Fellowship by the Japanese Ministry of Science at the National Cancer Center, Tokyo. Molecular biology stage at Welcome-Beecham Labs. of London, UK in 1993 and at GoodGene Lab. in Korea in 2006. Hon. Research Professor at Dept of Nutrition & Food Science, Texas University, USA and External Examiner for PhD candidates at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Visiting Research prof. in Gastroenterology, Camilo Josè Cela University, Madrid, Spain and visiting professor in gastroenterology, oxidative stress, aging and nutragenomics at major asian universities. For 10 years had directed a research center in Japan and cooperates with Nobel Prize Prof. Luc Montagnier. Has co-edited a successful book on aging-intervention and some book chapters on probiotics and vitamins. Co-founder of the research group ReGenera which is working on an innovative model of preventive/regenerative medicine. He has published about 135 papers and presented over 400 communications.

Dr. AstridStuckelberger is a scientist, lecturerand writer at the Institute of Global Health of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva. She conducts research and expertise in topics related to global healthand ageing at different levels: Swiss institutions, national governments, European Commission and United Nations specialized agencies and programmes. She is an internationally recognized expert on issues related to ageing and the future of population ageing, her competencies range from individual to population unto policy aspects, with a strong focus on innovation and technology as well as ethics,in order to find tailored solutions to future ageing and prevention of chronic diseases and pathological ageing.With WHO, she co-founded is the current President of the Geneva International Network on Ageing. She is also the Secretary-general of the International Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology for the European Region and represents them at the United Nations After directing population health research as Deputy-director of the first Center of Interdisciplinary Gerontology at the University of Geneva, she was called as Deputy-director of the Swiss National Research Programme on Ageing 1991-2000.

  Biography :

Dr. Bik-Wai Bilvick Tai received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship training in health outcomes research with a teaching certificate program at Western University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy, California, United States. During his fellowship, Dr. Tai served as Clinical Instructor to deliver lecture to PharmD students, co-precepted PharmD students on their clerkship rotations in health outcomes research, and conducted various research projects in the field of pharmacy practice and education. Dr. Tai is a registered pharmacist, Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP), and Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C) in the US. Dr. Tai is devoted to the development of clinical pharmacy, and his clinical interests address chronic health conditions in the geriatric population. Dr. Tai is currently delivering pharmacology and therapeutics courses in his academic position; serving as editorial board member and peer reviewer for international medical journals, and reviewing research abstracts for various pharmacy meetings.
